Canyon will not have any puppies in 2013 or 2014!
NO LITTERS PLANNED!
______________________________________________________________________
When we do have a litter planned, all interested familes MUST submit the Questionnaire.
A deposit of $200 is due once the puppies are born to hold your place.
All puppies purchased from Canyon Labradors are sold on Limited Registration unless otherwise
stated in our contract. We do place a few select pups in homes in show/performance homes.
If interested, please email me.
There is no 100% guarantee that any puppy will be free of health problems. We take
great care in evaluating the health and soundness of our Labradors and the studs we choose for
our litters. Even two parents who are free of hereditary diseases can produce a health problem from
time to time. Screening does reduce the chance of problems. We guarantee our puppies for 25 months
against severe/non-functional hip dysplasia, as well as a lifetime guarantee against PRA.
All puppies will be up to date on vaccinations, wormed, and a health record is provided. We also provide
you with a puppy packet that contains a pedigree, pictures of parents, and copies of parents' health clearances.
Pups will be ready to leave after 8 weeks of age. We reserve the right of first pick of the puppies as we are
specifically breeding to keep dogs back for ourselves. But all the puppies are special and we do our best to match a
suitable puppy with your family. Whenever possible, we will allow you to choose your puppy out of a few selected to
suit your lifestyle. And if one catches your eye, we will do our best to make that match if possible.
We do NOT ship our puppies , but are more than happy
to consider families outside the area who want to pick up their puppy from our home. Out of the area
families must have prior dog experience.
You can be assured that your future family companion will be well socialized. The pups are raised
in our home learning to live with normal household noises. They will be socialized with our adult
dogs, as well as our family and friends. The importance of socialization while at our home and later
at yours can be read here . Our puppies are also exposed to early neurological stimulation and they
have experienced 7 surfaces by 7 weeks of age.
We also recommended that our puppy buyers to not spay or neuter their new puppy until about one year
of age if possible. Information about long term health risks and benefits can be read here . If you
have any questions or concerns, we ask that you discuss this with us prior to setting up the appointment
with your vet.
